Health & Safety - Talk the talk, but definitely don't walk the walk. Each aisle is fitted with lighting sensors, these don't come on roughly 25% of the time, so you could be lifting or picking from a high shelf on a ladder attached to the trolley in darkness.

Told on second day as a group we didn't comply with H&S correctly by the trainer Eva, apparently someone took a trolley down an aisle the wrong way, Eva stated this was not okay as it would be her approached by Managers, not us, as it was our first week going on to say after training "do what you want" as it would be us approached not herself at that point - As our trainer i felt this was dodging accountability and not taking H&S seriously.

This became even more apparent whilst working around the warehouse, boxes would be lying around on the floor or from the shelves, half stuck out, barely visible.. easily a tripping hazard/falling hazard. Trolleys also left around obstructing path ways, making it difficult to navigate without banging into shelves or the trolleys.

From what i could tell staff are not seen as people but numbers and how efficient they can be, pick rate for the first week is 60 an hour.. got to keep pace but completely achievable, this then goes up to 120 and then 160 per hour (2.6 items per minute on average) i saw pickers practically running around with trolleys trying to achieve this aim.

Having to run from aisle to aisle dependent on what the console attached to their wrist says they need to pick, sometimes it would send you from one side of the warehouse to the other, but indiscriminately 160 per hour is the target!

The consoles often have little problems like not scanning correctly or just completely disconnecting from the internet, meaning you can't pick until it resolves, this all goes against you as the target doesn't factor this in. I put it bluntly to the trainer that this wasn't a realistic target and contradicts the talk on H&S, the very fact people are running around with trolleys through narrow corridors with restricted fields of view is an accident waiting to happen. I can't be clear enough when i say running, it's the only way to get anywhere near the target - yet i hear many often fail to hit target. Just by stopping for a drink of water or a toilet break would most likely make target that hour impossible.

I understand the obligation PMP Recruitment have with taking ID/Birth Certificate from Employees, which i supplied upon arrival for "Interview" they took scans of all relevant documentation and handed back but went on to say we need to complete the online account and upload the information through that also.

I promptly did this whilst i was with them for my Induction, i got home and had an email saying i needed to "Redo some tasks" they were tasks i had already completed with them but i did them again anyway. - Next day i get another e mail saying again to redo tasks (This time just my birth certificate) so i do this again, making sure the picture is crystal clear. - i arrive at work on the Sunday and after a couple of hours i am told i haven't uploaded my birth certificate, it's urgent they need it because i shouldn't be working without it, yet they had a copy from the original i provided, completing my legal obligations to provide proof of identity.

So i explained i had done this a few times but looked at me as to say i am lying, he tried to take a photo of my copied birth certificate for the web portal but couldn't get it clear enough. I told Christian i would do it on my break as i have a copy of the photo i took on my phone (i didn't get chance during break) it was brought up later that shift, i said i'd do it when i got home and was told by Christian if it wasn't done by my next shift tomorrow i would be sent home (No public transport on night shift), i got home and did it. went to bed after my night shift. received a call shortly after falling asleep to say i haven't done it, i inquired as to why they are ringing me after i've been on the night shift. They did this again two days later for the same reason.
